The Best (environmental) Films You've Never Seen: All That Breathes

Event description

Join us for a special screening of the award-winning documentary 'All That Breathes' in celebration of National Biodiversity Month, presented by RMIT Culture.

Winner of the Best Documentary Prize at both the Sundance and Cannes Film Festivals, 'All That Breathes' follows the journey of two brothers, Nadeem and Saud, who dedicate their lives to saving the Black Kite – a bird of prey essential to New Delhi's ecosystem that is mysteriously plummeting from the skies.

Set against the backdrop of environmental degradation and social unrest, the documentary captures the brothers' tireless efforts in their makeshift avian hospital. Directed by Shaunak Sen, the film explores the deep connection between the birds and the brothers who are determined to see them soar again.

Presented in partnership with the Environmental Film Festival Australia, the screening will open with an introduction by RMIT’s Shweta Kishore, followed by a Q&A with Director Shaunak Sen.

Don’t miss this thought-provoking celebration of coexistence, nature, and its preservation.
