Join us at Good Earth Bookshop from 7pm - 9pm on Valentine’s Day

Fri 14 Feb for a celebration of every kind of love.

Dress up for an evening of delicious dessert & beautiful music.

Jazz singer Mouna Stone will be performing accompanied on the grand piano by Bev Kennedy.

For over 20 years Mouna Stone has been delighting audiences with her luscious voice which has been described as a mixture of Billie Holiday and Nina Simone.
Gaining recognition for her combination of silver screen glamour with an authentic Jazz voice to match, Ms Stone has played with various groups in the Blue Mountains and Sydney regions including her 5 piece Jazz band Ms Stone & The Velvetones.

Notably she as been a feature artist in Maisie Cohen's documentary ‘Out of the Blue' about musicians of the Blue Mountains and has been interviewed for online style guide 'Missy Confidential'.
She is currently assembling a new and exciting 1920s Jazz group which will debut in mid-2025.

With a voice like silk & gravel Ms Stone will woo you, with a night of Jazz straight out of your gramophone!

Bev Kennedy is regarded as one of Australia’s leading Musical Directors & accompanists, having worked on over 50 professional music theatre productions. Shows she has worked on include Billy Elliot, Mamma Mia!, The Producers, We Will Rock You, The Lion King, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Chicago, & Muriel’s Wedding. She was assistant Musical Director for Simon Gallaher’s Pirates of Penzance, which is the highest selling recording of a musical in Australian history & a recipient of an Aria award for best soundtrack. Most recently Bev has been working on the shows Tina, Heathers, Jersey Boys, & was Musical Director on Ave Q. She was also nominated for a Green room award for her work as Musical Director on the Australian Premiere of Gutenberg the Musical.  Bev has accompanied International artists such as Joan Rivers, Grammy award winners Thelma Houston, Liz Callaway and Sir Brynn Terfel and continues to play for local artists Trevor Ashley, Marina Prior & Anthony Warlow. She is currently a consultant for the City of Sydney Eisteddfod & the Talent Development Project.Bev also works as a regular performer on the Bravo Cruise of the performing arts, and in 2017 had the great honour of performing with Jose Carreras – one of the most successful recording artists of all time. Recently Bev had the honour of working with Tina Arena on the sellout show Evita and most recently played on the hit show Tina. In April 2019 Bev toured Australia with Grammy award winning English dance duo Basement Jaxx.

There will be literary love trivia & a prize for the loveliest Valentine’s Day outfit.

Tickets: $30 + booking fee

Includes tea & coffee. Dessert will be available for purchase on the night including gluten free and dairy free options.
