Basic Composting

Join Peter Heidenreich from the Australian Worm Firm for an interactive workshop at Gawler Environment Centre for Compost Awareness Week.

Peter will take us through the science of composting. He will explore the different types of composting available including composting in static piles, using a tumbler, and using a worm farm, how to maximise the quality of your compost, and how to use your compost to the best effect in your garden.

Peter will be available for a Q and A session at the end. Products will be available for purchase on the day.

We will also have info on hand from NAWMA (Northern Adelaide Waste Management Authority) about resources available through the council to assist you with composting, including discounted kitchen caddies and FOGO bins.
