Event description

Allan Caswell is Australia’s most recorded songwriter with over 900 of his songs being released around the world by artists of the calibre of Cilla Black, Patti Page, The Irish Rovers, The Living End, Slim Dusty, Barry Humphries, Ricki May, James Blundell, McAlister Kemp, Graeme Connors, The Wolfe Brothers, Anne Kirkpatrick, Chad Morgan, Lynne Hamilton, Beccy Cole, The Wolfe Brothers and Ella Hooper among dozens of others.

In 1979 Caswell wrote the theme for the Australian television series “Prisoner” (Cell Block H in England). “On The Inside” was a Number 1 hit in Australia and New Zealand in 1979 and later reached Number 3 in the UK and the Patti Page version made the country charts in the USA. After the success of “On The Inside” he went fulltime and has made a living writing and performing ever since.

Caswell has won 8 Golden Guitars from 45 finalist nominations. He has also been awarded 15 songwriting Awards from the Tamworth Songwriters Association, including The Songmaker Award. He has won 9 Awards at the Independent Country Music Awards (Southern Stars) including Album Of The Year for three of his albums. He is the go-to co-writer for many of Australia’s top artists.

Allan Caswell is now easily Australia’s most recorded songwriter, in any genre, with, at last count, 926 recordings of his songs released worldwide.

Ben Walker is not your typical songwriter. This British-born artist, now calling Sydney's Northern Beaches home, writes songs of heart, soul, joy, sadness and hope. He writes them with nuance, poignancy and in- sight and combines them with soulful melodies with poignant storytelling that will make you laugh, cry, and reflect deeply.

In 2020, Ben began releasing music and his heartfelt tunes earned him festival appearances, co-writing opportunities with other talented artists, and widespread radio play. But the real proof of his talent came in 2022 when his song "I Won't Forget" (a beautiful collaboration with Allan Caswell, Beth Lucas, and Stephen Dobson) was listed as a semifinalist in the International Songwriting Competition (Folk Category) and soared to number 1 on the Australian Country Radio Chart.

Seeing Ben perform is an event you won't forget. His solo shows are intimate and captivating, with a disarming honesty that draws you in. Expect to be taken on an emotional journey, with each song a chapter in a larger narrative. See the highlights real from one of his recent acoustic shows here.
