Already Dancing ~ Contact Improv, Nature, Poetry

Dancing contact improvisation, writing and spending time in nature I find myself invited to join in with a dance that is already underway. I am not creating it from nothing, but entering into a movement that is already in motion. As I join in, I begin to recognise that I was never separate from it.

The part of us that wants to direct, define or control experience can soften, making room for the dance to unfold. This is not a mystical experience. It is a way of being present to our lives as they are: embodied, responsive and interconnected with the world around us.

I invite you to a day of exploring our bodies in relationship, through movement and writing practices in the studio and outdoors. Grounded in the practice and principles of contact improvisation we will meet with the forces of nature and work with poetry and writing to deepen into our exploration.

Where ~ At Renergy space - Among the eucalypts and within a beautiful mud brick home studio in Saint Andrews.
