Description

As part of the Australian Law Students’ Association Online Competitions Program, the ALSA Crisis Negotiation Competition is an intensive four-day simulation running from 20–23 June 2026. The competition challenges participants to navigate rapidly evolving legal, political, and commercial crises through strategic negotiation, advocacy, and decision-making under pressure.

Teams will respond to dynamic scenarios involving competing stakeholder interests, breaking developments, and time-sensitive negotiations, requiring competitors to think critically, communicate persuasively, and adapt quickly as events unfold. The competition is designed to develop practical skills in negotiation, teamwork, problem-solving, and strategic thinking within a realistic and engaging simulated environment.

Open to law students from across Australia & New Zealand, the ALSA Crisis Negotiation Competition offers a unique opportunity to compete nationally while gaining valuable experience in high-pressure dispute resolution and crisis management.
