AlterCOP30: Digital Collage
Event description
Led by Climate Training Co. and Jean-Philippe Ehret from Resilio Solutions, the Digital Collage is a serious game played by over 150,000 people around the world, aiming to demystify the environmental issues of digital technology, including AI.
Centred on collaboration and collective intelligence, this 3-hour workshop also outlines solutions for sustainable digital technology and allows open discussions amongst participants on these important and timely topics.
A true team-building tool, it allows participants to come together and delve into the sustainability of our digital world and engage with the solutions.
Built on the same theory and structure that underpins the Climate Fresk, you'll be able to:
- Build a shared understanding of digital sustainability
- Understand the problems and threats
- Find solutions that you can implement
This workshop is rigorously sourced from data provided by ADEME, Green IT, EcoInfo CNRS, and the Shift Project's reports and references.
How the workshop operates:
- Understanding: In teams of 4 to 8, participants identify and then draw the links between the cards of the game to build a "Collage"
- Personalisation: They visually express their key messages and link their work to their context to take ownership of the content and create team spirit
- Debriefing: Each group explains their title and decoration, then the facilitator makes a detailed summary of the whole system
- Solutions: A solutions-based exercise finishes the workshop, which stimulates discussion, reflection, and action around a sustainable digital world
If you're looking to build awareness and explore real solutions around digital sustainability in your organisation, this workshop is a great place to start.
In solidarity with AlterCOP30, this November we’re running a series of climate events across Aotearoa - bringing communities together to learn, connect, and take action for a just and sustainable future.
AlterCOP is a Global Initiative founded by The Matcha Initiative and The Transmutation Principle, locally brought to you by Climate Fresk Aotearoa, Climate Club Aotearoa, Climate Training Co., Climate Crew, and &BLOOM.
