DRUM ROLL please…local Robbo artist Amber Kenny is launching her much anticipated debut album Beautiful Scars at the Robertson Public House this August. Having made its way through the challenges of life changing moments, Beautiful Scars is a collection of intimate songs that share the stories of Amber’s own scars which lie on the inside and out.

Full of authenticity and raw emotion each song is interwoven with the next. Balanced through her own lens of life, Beautiful Scars is how Amber makes sense of the world, the people in it and the situations that have forever changed her.

Beautiful scars was recorded over 9 days of magical moments on a rural farm in the Southern Highlands. A stunning landscape in which they could hide away from all outside distractions and immerse themselves into the creativity of making music with deep roots in soul, folk and alt-country.

Produced by Syd Green, Ben Fink and Amber, the album features an impressive line up including collaborator/co-writer Lyn Bowtell and renowned fiddle player, Clare O’Meara, Lloyd Swanton, Jo Caseley, Bek Jensen and Ben Malone.

Coming from a place of both necessity and joy, all the sounds heard throughout this record have been written and played from a rich storytelling heart allowing the songs to speak for themselves.

In 2023, Amber graduated from the Academy of Country Music and released her debut single, "Run Dry" (produced by Nash Chambers), with its video airing on CMT. That year, she also made her Nashville debut at the iconic Bluebird Cafe during the Americana Festival and toured regionally on her "Diaries of a Songwriter" tour, including performances at the Yass and Bundanoon festivals. For three years, she has performed at the Tamworth Country Music Festival as a solo artist as well as with the trio "3 Birds & The Truth" (Beth Lucas and Jo Caseley). A dedicated songwriter, she has co-written with Jane Bach, Alyssa Trahan, Patricia Conroy, Dave Thomson, Lyn Bowtell, and Syd Green.
