AMHC "It's Good to Know" Information Webinar

The Australian Multicultural Health Collaborative (The Collaborative), in partnership with the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing and the Cancer Council Victoria, seeks proposals from community-based organisations to implement a community awareness campaign to increase awareness of the new lung cancer screening program for Arabic, Cantonese, Hindi, Mandarin, and Vietnamese speakers. The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing has identified these priority multicultural communities due to their higher smoking rates compared to the broader Australian population. The primary goal of the “It’s Good to Know” campaign is to enhance understanding and participation in the lung cancer screening program through targeted activities and engagement strategies. By leveraging community-led initiatives, this campaign looks to create culturally appropriate and effective communication that resonates with the targeted five communities, thereby improving health literacy and lung cancer screening rates.

The campaign's target group comprises Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, and Vietnamese speaking people.
