Amitabha Pureland Retreat

Tsinta Mani Choling is very happy to welcome Dungse Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche to the new retreat land in Aptos on October 12th, 2024. We warmly invite you to join us via ZOOM.  Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche will begin the day with the empowerment of Amitabha, the Buddha of Infinite Light and Dewachen, the Pureland of Great Bliss. In the afternoon he will teach on the four remedies for rebirth in the Amitabha pure land. 

Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche (ལྕགས་ཁུང་འཇིགས་མེད་དབང་དྲག) was born in the Golok region of Eastern Tibet as a fourth generation descendant of the great Tibetan master Dudjom Lingpa – one of the foremost spiritual masters of 19th century Tibet. At the age of 15 he was recognized as the reincarnation of Rigdzin Longsal Nyingpo by Choktrul Tamdrin Wangyal. He attended Larung Gar Monastery and studied Buddhist teachings in great depth, including Sutra and Tantra as well as Dzogchen pith instructions and empowerments with His Holiness Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok, who formally requested Rinpoche to teach and preserve the lineage of Dudjom Lingpa. 

Chakung Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche is responsible for the production of an original woodblock edition of The 100,000 Tantras of the Nyingma Lineage at the Derge Printing House. His first book in English, Loving Life as It Is, was published in 2024 by Shambhala Publications. He is the spiritual director of the Abhaya Fellowship.
