About Monica
Monica is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Cardiology, critical care, and seeing Veterans for Disability claims for the VA. She started her Vantage Point podcast in 2019 as a hobby with her husband, retired Marine LtCol David Sanford. She later changed the podcast name to The Monica Sanford Show as an entertainment business. Her podcast has a variety of guests and "talks to Anyone about Everything we want to talk about". Her guests have included Law enforcement, a School Board Superintendent, NAACP, a City Manager, Business leaders, the President/CEO of Waffle House, Base Commanders, local influencers, chefs, Pastors, Purple Heart Veterans, MMA Fighters, Healthcare experts, Policy Experts, Lawyers, Veterans Administration, local/state elected officials/legislators, Non-profit Directors and more. In 2024, her podcast was picked up to air on National Veterans Wreaths Across America Radio on their Friday night lineup. She was recently named Scarlett Magazine 2024 Woman of the Year for Best Podcast Host.
