Amplify423: Build amazing teams with the working genius methodology
Description
This session is an introductory step into the working genius framework for organizations, founders, and teams.
The Working Genius is a professional productivity model by Patrick Lencioni that identifies which of the six universal stages of work—Wonder, Invention, Discernment, Galvanizing, Enablement, and Tenacity—naturally energize a person versus those that drain them. By mapping individual profiles, it helps teams align people with the right tasks, reduce burnout, and ensure projects progress smoothly from initial concept to final execution.
Eric grew up in Seymour, Indiana (hometown of John "Cougar" Mellencamp) and earned a Business degree from Ball State University. After careers in sales and corporate training, Eric enrolled at Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, KY, earning a Master of Divinity degree. Eric began working with Summit Leadership in 2014 as the Director of The Church Mobilization Network. Eric became a certified Working Genius instructor in 2025 and enjoys using the model to help teams work more effectively and get more joy from the work they do. Eric and his wife, Cindy, live in Johnson City and have two daughters.
