Event description

Students, parents and old scholars are warmly invited to join us for an Afternoon with Geography, an interactive event celebrating the power of Geography to shape how we understand our world and respond to its challenges.

Enjoy light refreshments and hear from a range of speakers, including old scholar and technology entrepreneur Simon Hackett (1982), who will share how he has future-proofed his farm in Tasmania with a large-scale renewable energy system. We will also hear from current and past Geography students, who will reflect on their learnings and how their studies have influenced their careers and perspectives.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Geography’s relevance and share in meaningful conversations about sustainability and the role we all play in shaping the world around us.

This event is proudly supported by the Neil Smart Environmental Education Fund.
