Many educators approach the topic of antiracism teaching with apprehension and nervousness. Studies have shown that racism is a frequent occurrence across Australian schools, highlighting how First Nations students are the most disadvantaged and racialised in a system designed against them. This seminar is a snapshot of what educators can consider in approaching the topic of antiracist education.
Facilitator:
Dr Ryan Al-Natour is a lecturer in education. He is researching critical and social justice pedagogy and writes about antiracist classrooms.
