AN EMBODIED APPROACH TO DRAWING | With Lieng Lay
Description
This 6-week program combines movement and drawing with artist and physiotherapist Lieng Lay, offering a different approach to drawing through movement, body awareness and creative practice.
Each session begins with a gentle exploration of the body before focusing on a specific area, such as the jaw, hands, eyes. Through guided movement, you'll become more aware of habitual patterns, release unnecessary tension, and discover greater ease of movement. From this grounded state, Lieng leads a drawing practice inspired by your embodied experience, shifting the focus from drawing what you see to drawing through sensory awareness.
Open to people aged 16 and over, this self-care program welcomes beginners, experienced artists, people who spend long hours sitting, athletes, musicians, and anyone curious about the relationship between movement, creativity and the body. No previous experience is required.
