An Evening of Climate Wins: stories of collective action & citizen engagement

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Come together for a warm, cosy evening of local climate wins. There will be talks, kai, interactive stations, and inspiring ways for all of us to take the next step on climate action.

You'll hear from three speakers - India Logan-Riley (ActionStation, Te Ara Whatu), Pok Wei Heng (Climate Change @ EY), and Emma McInnes (Women in Urbanism) - who have worked across the government, business, and not-for-profit sectors about times when collective action has succeeded in the climate space, and how we can apply their learnings to our own lives and the niche roles that we each play in the global climate movement. The talks and discussions will focus on political and systemic change, to illustrate how different sectors can work together for long-term, sustained impact.

Writer Jessie Puru (Ngāti Te Ata, Ngāpuhi, Tainui) will perform poetry, and Ema Barton (Songwriters 4 Climate Action) will share music with us.

There’ll also be opportunities to meet, mingle, and get started on your own dose of climate action. We’d love to see you there 🌱

Hosted by Climate Club NZ in collaboration with Foodprint and MUV Talks, part of the Auckland Climate Festival
