Event description

Come along to the wonderful Ern Malley on November 14th and enjoy folk serenades from Maisie B, Ryan Martin John and Gilly & Bede.

This event will take place in the courtyard of Ern Malley- picture this: plenty of acoustic goodness, a backing choir of birds and a gentle spring breeze.

MAISIE B.

Maisie B adores and craves connecting with others through the vulnerability of her music. An experienced performer and multi-instrumentalist, she seamlessly weaves together her favourite elements of folk, jazz and alt pop to curate a sound that is texturally rich, emotionally charged and an intricate fusion of everything she loves.

RYAN MARTIN JOHN

Wandering through the deserted sonic dreamscape of 70’s Laurel Canyon, Ryan Martin John is an introvert with a deep love of songwriting and pondering. Folky with a notable country flair, Ryan’s sonic spectrum ranges from a dynamic, intimate hush when solo to a harmony-gilded, guitar-laden fanfare when playing with his full band.

GILLY & BEDE

Gilly & Bede is a brand new folk project by sisters Miranda and Clara Gillam Grant. They take their influences from 60s folk artists such as Joan Baez and Simon & Garfunkel and contemporary Irish/UK folk artists such as Lisa O’Neill and The Unthanks. They combine Miranda’s sensitive guitar lines, Clara's cello’s tenor sonority, and their meandering vocals, to create a folk-something that’s simultaneously timeless and contemporary.
