An Evening Of Music with Stevie Tombstone & Harmonic Dirt Duo
Event description
Friday November 22, 6:30pm doors, 7pm concert, featuring Stevie Tombstone and Harmonic Dirt Duo. A night of Americana, Bluegrass, and alternativeĀ roots rock.Ā
Best-kept secret, Stevie Tombstone, is a quintessential troubadour, a veteran musician who crafts powerful folk songs tinged with classic country and vintage blues influences. There are many different species of the Music Artist. Various combinations of singers, songwriters and entertainers. Ā But itās the ones that wear their art that get to us the most. The ones that donāt know how not to tell the truth in their music and reveal the raw and ragged triumphs that in the end are more beautiful because of the honesty of the struggle. These are the Artists that get in our bones and shake loose our demons by slaying their own with chords and words. Artists like Johnny Cash, Janis Joplinā¦and Stevie Tombstone." Outlaw Magazine
Harmonic Dirt is a collaboration of multi-instrumentalist Mike Gridley and lyricist/bassist Susan Coleman based in Central New York. The husband and wife duo of Coleman and Gridley are prolific songwriters, developing stories that draw from the rich heritage of American folk and roots music, but also weaving themes from literature, historical events, and personal observations into the mix.
Their four albums āAnthraciteā, āLive at the Ridgeā, āRhode Island Streetā, and āBlame the Horizonā contain a variety of original songs which showcase the breadth of their musical and lyrical work, while providing familiar reference points to sixties folk-rock, Harvest-era Neil Young, as well as alt-country in the vein of Son Volt and the Jayhawks.
