Event description

Join us on Thursday 15th August (7-10pm), in the Haringey Warehouse District, for a screening of The Idol, a Palestinian film based on the true story and life of Mohammed Assaf, a Palestinian wedding singer who went on to win the second season of Arab Idol, and is known most notably for his widely acclaimed song, "Dammi Falastini", a song which has become synonymous with hope, and with resistance.

This event is being run on a Pay What You Can basis- we recommend a donation of £10, but if you can't afford this, and would still like to join us, please do. Some pay, some don't, all welcome. All money raised from this event will be donated to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Big love, Olive Roots Collective
