An Evening of Stories & Change on Bowen Island
Description
You are invited...
To gather around a co-created altar by your community...
To journey together and deepen your connection to community...
To receive stories of change and transition...
And to share some of your own stories...
Come experience the power, magic, and mystery of Sacred Storytelling with Leah Lamb.

"It was pure Magic!" — May, Nelson, BC
This highly interactive community gathering explores what it means to be living in a quickly changing world—through story, song, conversation, and reflection. The gathering is inspired by the creation of The Little Book of Change: A Storied Guide to Navigating Transitions, Loss, and New Beginnings.
No storytelling experience is needed. Come just as you are, with the stories you're carrying.
This is a free community gathering.
We've designed the evening as a journey we'll experience together and will begin promptly at 6:30 PM.
Please bring something to feed and honor the spirit of change.
This may include flowers, fruit or chocolates to eventually share with others; a photograph or relic of someone who has experienced a change; something representing a change you are moving through; or a stone, crystal, or other object you'd like to place on our community altar and take home with you.
Together, these offerings will become a living altar created by you and your community, on this particular evening, in this moment of change.
LOCATION PROVIDED WHEN YOU RSVP
Copies of The Little Book of Change will be available for purchase and signing following the gathering.

“The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.”
— Alan Watts
An Altar for Change

Please bring offerings for our altar
For your consideration:
Items that represent changes you are tending
Images of people you love who have going through a change
Food that nourishes the altar (and us), such as fruit, chocolate, bite sized nibbles we can share
Feathers, crystals, stones, deities...things that will support us in our exploration of change.
Everything placed on the altar can go home with you.
You can also make a contribution to the altar that will travel from city to city.
