An Evening with Kevin Welch

American Kevin Welch is an award-winning multi-platinum songwriter with one foot in Nashville and the other in Austin.  For over 40 years his groundbreaking work has carried him around the globe, appearing many times at Edmonton Folk, Calgary Folk, Denmark’s Tonder Fest, The Strawberry Festival in Yosemite, Switzerland’s prestigious Montreaux Jazz Fest,  multiple returns to Australia’s Byron Bay Bluesfest, Port Fairy, and The Blue Mountains festivals, and for 17 consecutive years, along with partners Kieran Kane and Fats Kaplin  (Kane Welch Kaplin – twice nominated for Group of the Year by The Americana Association) the epic Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco.  He has appeared on stage with Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Billy Joe Shaver, Chris Smither, Arlo Guthrie, Eliza Gilkerson, Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Roseanne Cash, David Francey, Heath Cullen, and many more.  His performances are known to hold audiences spellbound, while his stories are funny, sad and beautiful.
