An Evening With....Dan Foster - November 2026
Description
An Evening With....Dan Foster
Topic: The Second Half of Life: From Proving Yourself to Becoming Yourself
There comes a point in many men's lives when the things that once drove us — success, achievement, recognition, being in control — begin to lose their shine. We've spent years building careers, raising families, meeting expectations and trying to prove ourselves. But somewhere along the way, a deeper question begins to emerge: Is this really what life is all about? Drawing inspiration from Richard Rohr's powerful book Falling Upward, Dan Foster explores the often uncomfortable but deeply transformative journey into the second half of life. It's a journey that invites us to loosen our grip on certainty, let go of the identities we've worked so hard to build, and discover a different kind of strength — one grounded in wisdom, humility, authenticity and service. Through personal stories, honest reflection and practical insights, Dan will explore why the disappointments, failures and unexpected turns of life may actually become the very things that help us grow into the men we're meant to be.
An Evening With is a monthly online gathering where we meet to connect and talk about navigating the beauty and the pain of life together. We have conversations about all kinds of topics and issues to help men and their families – from mental health, sexuality, personal, emotional and spiritual growth, relationships, family, fatherhood, and how to cope through life’s problems and pain.
Hosted quarterly, events will occur in March, June, September and November. Speakers and topics will be announced closer to the events.
