We are delighted to announce that we will be offering a parent evening ‘An evening with Professor Lea Waters: Wellbeing@SVC

We are expecting that the evening with Professor Waters will draw a full capacity audience. 

An evening with Professor Lea Waters: Professor Waters will share the ‘Vinnies’ Visible Wellbeing (VWB) journey to date, and give an overview of the ‘Science of Wellbeing’ and our pathway ahead at St Vincent’s College.

Professor Lea Waters PhD:

Professor Lea Waters, author of ‘The Strength Switch’, is a world leading expert in School Psychology and Parenting. Lea is an Australian academic, psychologist, author and speaker who holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology. In 2020 Lea was named a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for her leadership in psychology, education and the mental health sector in Australia. Lea was listed as one of Australia’s Top Women of Influence and was featured on the Marques ‘Who’s Who in the World’ and ‘Who’s Who of Australian Women’ lists. Lea is an Affiliate Professor at the University of Cambridge and University of Michigan. Lea is a member of the Scientific Board at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center and a fellow of the International Positive Psychology Association.

For over a decade, Lea has worked with hundreds of schools across Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, Hong Kong, UAE, Taiwan, Singapore, The Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium.
