Entry instructions
On arrival either come to 3 Hereford St doors where someone will be stationed from 20 minutes prior to the event to let you in, or come to the South Quad doors which will be open from 20 minutes beforehand. Both doors and the route around the building can be seen in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3xgmIQHnfs&t=1s
After entry instructions
Hereford St doors: You will either take a small flight of wide stairs to the basement level, and then either turn left to the main lift and take it to Level 1, or turn right to go up a second flight of stairs to the door of the Recital Room. If you require assistance with your access there is a wheelchair accessible lift at this door which can take you directly to Level 1. On exiting this lift you turn right and head through the double doors to the Recital Room foyer. South Quad doors: There is a small flight of stone steps with a railing on both sides. This will take you to the Level 1 foyer and reception. From here you turn right to enter the Recital Room.
Hazards
This is a heritage building so some of the surfaces can be slippery. If you need any assistance, please ask. For music events, earplugs will be available to any attendees. They are usually at the entrance to the room if any of the music programmed will be amplified/loud. If you would like some and don’t see them out, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Toilet location
The toilets on Level 1 are next to the main lift shaft. There are two cubicles, one that is accessible for wheelchair or walker users.
