Join us at The Evening Muse in Charlotte on October 2nd for a special tribute to the legendary David Sanborn, featuring the extraordinary saxophonist, Gary Harris. Beginning his musical journey at the age of 10, Gary has since mastered the vintage Selmer Mark IV Tenor sax, captivating audiences worldwide with his soulful sound and vibrant stage presence.Â
Having performed with legends such as Cecil Welch, William Bell, Percy Sledge, and Ann Nesby, Gary’s collaborations span genres and generations. His recording credits include work with Rhonda Smith, Joe Sommerville, Ann Nesby, and the iconic OutKast, showcasing his versatility and depth as an artist.Â
Gary has graced some of the world's most prestigious stages, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, Narni Black Music Festival, and the Atlanta Jazz Festival. Each performance is a testament to his exceptional talent and ability to connect with audiences through his music.Â

Karen Poole
Karen Poole, a contemporary gospel vocalist whose voice transcends boundaries. Her pure and powerful vocals will ignite your soul and resonate through your bones. Originally hailing from Norfolk, VA, Karen’s musical journey began in a family deeply rooted in songwriting and musicianship, inspiring her passion for music ministry from a young age. Now based in Charlotte, she continues to captivate audiences as an award-winning singer-songwriter, musician, producer, Indie Contemporary Gospel artist, and worship leader.
Karen's debut album, "Hidden," was released in February 2021, featuring a unique blend of jazz, gospel, and contemporary sounds. Her music has garnered attention, with placements on major TV shows like "Delilah" on the Oprah network. She is currently working on her next  project, anticipated for release in early 2025. She will be recording that album live at the Booth Playhouse October 12th, 2024.
Karen's talent has not only earned her the Queen City Awards' Best Female Gospel Artist for 2023 but has also seen her perform as a background vocalist for icons such as The Clark Sisters, Andra Day, Fantasia, Alicia Keys, and SWV. She has graced international stages in Germany and Italy and has been featured on "Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell."
With a diverse repertoire, that she has referred to as musical gumbo,  she seamlessly blends genres and eras. Karen’s inspirational melodies and heartfelt lyrics resonate with a broad audience. Her live performances are a testament to her extraordinary talent and deep-rooted passion for music.
