Bio's:

Mark Anderson is a Regenerative Dairy Farmer and co-owner of the family business, Westridge Farm in South Otago.

He grew up on a diverse sixth generation family sheep and beef farm and then spent 20 years conventional dairy farming while expanding to 580ha and 900 cows until transition began to incorporate regenerative techniques 6 years ago while reducing cow numbers to 600 today.

"We are entering our fourth season once-a-day milking and continue to learn how we can close nutrient and energy loops with composting and grazing techniques while scaling up plantings of perennial tree and fodder crops. Herd breeds are also a focus towards dual purpose as we look further out to 50-100 years."

Jules Matthews is a Regenerative Farming Coach and Educator with Integrity Soils, as well as a Sheep & Beef Farmer managing Mangaroa Farm, Upper Hutt and originally from Eastern Taranaki.

Jules is the choreographer and conductor of Mangaroa Farms, a regenerative farm near Wellington that is part of a newly formed Biome Trust set up by Brian and Matthew Monahan. This 900 hectare living laboratory has its focus on transitioning dairy and pine into regenerative agriculture, including sheep & beef, dairy and native forests while developing a food hub to provide local produce, grow resilience, provide education and build connection in the community and beyond. As well as her work in NZ she coaches on the Integrity Soils Create Programme developing consultants skill to guide landowners through the process of regenerating their land to address the triple bottom lines of human, environmental and financial health. Trained in holistic management, dispute resolution and human nutrition she has worked in the agricultural sector for over 40 years, both here and abroad.

Building natural capital and connection is her game.

Cherryle Prew is a Soil Food Web Specialist and Educator who recently sold her laboratory business Soil Food Web NZ after 18 years.  This now gives her more time to focus on education. Come learn about the world beneath your feet!
