An introduction to co-design for the social sector

Event description

Focus on the needs of your clients or risk becoming irrelevant.

Most people will agree with this statement, but few know how to effectively incorporate this change.

Client expectations are changing. Your clients are expecting your organisation to be more transparent and they're expecting to feel like their needs are understood. Now more than ever, it's easier for them to tell other potential clients what their experience was like with your organisation, or find another service provider that will meet their needs.

Organisations are moving towards being more ‘person centred’, involving their clients or people with lived experience in the design process, rather than having internal staff create the solutions on their behalf. By adopting this approach these organisations are getting better client satisfaction and organisational performance.

If you are a senior leader within a Not for Profit or Government, and you...

  • Have a service that isn't having the desired impact on the people you support
  • Are a bit stuck with a problem, and aren’t sure what’s the best way forward
  • See an opportunity to provide a new service, that will enhance the
    lives of those you care for
  • Have a team that is coming to you with problems and instead, you'd like them to
    innovate and change things

Then this webinar is designed for you.  We will show you how to understand what truly is important to the users of your service or product, and then how to involve others to develop innovative new ideas to solve these problems.

The workshop will cover the following;

  • An introduction to the Co-design methodology and how it can be used in the social sector
  • Case studies into how this methodology has been used successfully in this sector
  • Practical examples of how Co-design can be applied to your organisation
  • Learning about the basics of key tools and processes

Outcomes for participants;

  • A foundational understanding of Co-design methodology
  • New ideas and inspiration on how this could be applied to your organisation’s problems
  • An increased understanding of skills that will be critical in the sector for the future

The workshop is presented by Impacto Consulting, a social impact consulting business whose purpose is to innovate with For-Purpose organisations to deliver BIG on social impact.

Dan Bentley and Tracey Newman, are experienced facilitators and presenters, that specialise in making complex concepts tangible and practical for the social sector.
