Wilmé Steenekamp (pronounced 'Vilmie') has 40 years of experience that includes working as Medical Doctor, Clinical Psychologist, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
Her strengths lie in her ability to keenly observe, listen, and learn from clients, utilising her knowledge, expertise and intuition to foster healing and personal growth in clients.
Wilmé is the founder of Sweet as Therapy where she helps individual adults and couples break free from trauma through integrative Trauma, Attachment and EMDR approaches. She is also trained in the Acute Stress Adaptive Protocol (ASAP) which is a safe and very effective group Early Intervention protocol based on EMDR methodology.
