About the Event
Anger, like love and joy, can be a powerful source of energy. Sometimes we need a place to acknowledge it, release it, and reconnect with what motivates us to care and take action.
Join The Resilient Activist and Platte Land Trust for an autumn evening dedicated to releasing some frustration, connecting with nature, and having a little fun in community.
Throughout the evening, there will be opportunities to vocalize your rage, smash biodegradable piñatas, dance around the fire, get grounded in nature, and connect with others.
Come for the whole evening or spend your time with the activities that speak to you.
🍁 What to Expect
Activities throughout the evening will include:
A guided hike through the nature area
A grounding meditation
A group scream
Biodegradable piñata smashing
Dancing and music around the fire
A seasonal craft
S'mores and time to gather around the fire
Opportunities to connect with the land and one another
Some activities, including the hike, meditation, and group scream, will take place at scheduled times. Other activities will be available throughout the evening.

🔥 What to Bring
Please come prepared to spend the evening outdoors.
We recommend bringing:
A camp chair
A lantern or flashlight
Your own alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages (BYOB)
Clothing and shoes appropriate for the weather and natural terrain
Sunset will be around 6:25 PM, and there is no electricity at the nature area, so a flashlight or lantern is strongly encouraged.
🚗 Parking & Accessibility
Parking is limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged.
The Charlotte Sawyers Nature Area does not have paved trails. Grass will be mowed, but participants should expect natural and potentially uneven terrain.
One porta-potty will be available on-site.
💚 Your Donation Supports Two Local Organizations
The suggested donation for this event is $25, with the option to contribute more or less.
Proceeds from the evening will be split between The Resilient Activist and Platte Land Trust to support their ongoing work.
Platte Land Trust is dedicated to conserving land, natural resources, and open spaces. The organization works with landowners to voluntarily protect agricultural, scenic, wildlife, and watershed lands through conservation easements and land donations.
The Resilient Activist works to build resilience, community, and hope for those who care deeply about the Earth and its future.
Come ready to release, move, connect, and celebrate an autumn evening in nature together.
