The Strangulation of Children & Young People: An Overdue Conversation
As we advance our work on domestic and family violence non lethal strangulation, we now need to urgently turn our attention to the non lethal strangulation of children and young people.
We are honoured to have Dr Kathryn Synder MD MPH, FAAP Medical Director and Child Abuse Pediatrician-CARE (Child Abuse Resource and Education) Team from Texas USA as keynote speaker. Dr. Snyder is a child abuse pediatrician, with board certification in Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics from the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Snyder has a passion for education, a research interest in pediatric strangulation and has been an invited speaker atlocal, regional and national conferences focused on the subject of child abuse and neglect and pediatric strangulation.
The webinar will also include a panel of Australian professionals including Dr Julia Boss MD, Dr Heather Lovatt, Meegan Crawford Child Safety & Inspector Ben Martain Queensland Police Service
