Analog Art Club

Analog Art Club is a statewide initiative that invites Victorians to slow down, switch off their screens and connect in real life — through art. Hosted by galleries across Victoria, these phone-free events offer a welcoming space to reflect, discuss and experience art together, making creativity social, accessible and refreshingly analog.

This program encourages deeper connection with both art and community by fostering genuine, screen-free engagement in a relaxed and inclusive environment. As part of the Analog Art Club, join us on a series of extended drawing workshops inspired by the Country, landscape and the surrounds of Tarrawarra Museum of Art and its Collection. Centred on the theme of the Wurundjeri seasons that are designed to inspire a deeper respect for Country, First Knowledges, place and contemporary art and culture.

Led by an accomplished TWMA artist and educator. These intimate drawing sessions will begin with mindfulness exercises designed to help connect with the present moment, fellow participants and the natural surroundings. Throughout the workshops, participants will receive group and one-on-one guidance on techniques and processes developed around considered observation, encouraging a disconnection from screen and mobile devices.

Friday 2 October – Stencil Painting with Bundit Puangthong

During the second week of the school holidays TarraWarra Museum of Art offers a very special Analog Art Club experience led by contemporary Thai and Australian artist Bundit Puangthong. After formal training in temple painting in Thailand, Paungthong completed a Master of Visual Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2005. In Melbourne, Puangthong made connections between the temple painting tradition and Melbourne’s street and graffiti culture leading him to cultivate a distinctive painting language drawing upon his heritage and celebrating the ‘in betweenness’ of living within two cultures. Puangthong will share and demonstrate his painting process and an introduction to exploring different approaches to stencil painting using acrylic paint and paper. Suitable for 15+ years old.
