Online follow-along movement classes introducing evolutionary anatomy and animal body training

About this Event

Evolutionary anatomy and movement practices, for performance, health and longevity, and for feeling more fully at home in the body and in the world.

Working directly with the body to strengthen, mobilise, and remove chronic tension from the deepest areas, and in the process uncover some of the powerful innate animal movement patterns built into our anatomy.

Working with the mind during movement, using attention emotion and imagination to explore and uncover key aspects of the body-mind relationship, generate deeper states of healing relaxation and integrated movement, and fundamentally change our experience of our bodies and the living world around us.

Practices which help us regain trust in our bodies' extraordinary abilities, which remind us of where we come from, what we are made of, and of all of the countless bodies and ecosystems we have inhabited and evolved with since the beginning of time.

Each session will run for 90 minutes, with a basic whole-body movement practice for mobility and strength but with a focus on developing softness, smoothness and sensitivity through every part of the body - particularly the spine, ribcage, abdomen, pelvis and hips - in order to gradually develop the relaxed, coordinated, blissful fluidity that is the hallmark of the "animal body". We will finish with a short Q&A, and participants are encouraged to send questions by email any time during the week in between sessions.

Accessible to anyone with a body, and scaleable according to personal abilities and fitness levels.

PRICING is by sliding scale, reduced rates are freely available for people on low incomes or anyone experiencing financial hardship, according to circumstances - if you need one, you can have one! You don't need to contact me to explain.
