Ancestral Support for Times of Change with Summer Starr & Orion Foxwood

We are living through a time of profound personal and collective change. Many people are navigating shifts in identity, vocation, community, spirituality, and relationship, while also responding to larger social and ecological transformations.

During such times, our ancestors can become powerful allies.

Our ancestors lived through migrations, cultural upheavals, environmental changes, periods of uncertainty, and moments that required adaptation and resilience. They carry stories, skills, gifts, and wisdom that can help us navigate the challenges and opportunities of the present moment.

Ancestral tending is the practice of cultivating conscious relationships with the ancestors whose lives, choices, gifts, and experiences continue to shape us. Through these relationships, we can receive support for healing inherited burdens and patterns that may limit our ability to fully embody our gifts, deepen our connection with the living Earth, and move forward with greater clarity and support.

Here are details to the 4 part series on "Tending Ancestral Roots for Times of Change" with Summer Starr

This four-part series explores how ancestral lineage work can help us navigate change by bringing greater harmony between three essential relationships: our connection to soul, our connection to our ancestors, and our connection to place.

Participants will work with an ancestral guide and a chosen lineage to explore inherited gifts, patterns that may inhibit their expression, and the unique wisdom their ancestors carry for this moment in history. Together, we will examine how ancestral healing can support the embodiment of soul gifts, deepen attunement to the living world, and provide practical guidance for the road ahead.

Part 1 — Healing the Path of Embodiment

Explore how ancestral patterns may support or inhibit the expression of your deeper gifts and calling. Working with ancestral allies, participants will begin healing inherited burdens and patterns that may create barriers to embodying and manifesting their soul gifts while strengthening the lineage resources that support their unique path.

Part 2 — Ancestors as Allies in Times of Change

Our ancestors lived through periods of disruption, uncertainty, and transformation. In this session, participants will explore the wisdom, resilience, and adaptive strategies their lineages developed while receiving guidance for navigating the social, cultural, ecological, and personal changes of our own time.

Part 3 — Deepening Attunement to Place

How can our ancestors help us belong more deeply to the places where we live today?

Drawing on ancestral ways of listening, reciprocity, and relationship, participants will explore how ancestral relationships can support deeper belonging to place and community, helping root their soul path in the places where they live. Together, we will explore how these relationships can offer guidance for showing up well in the world during times of change.

Part 4 — Blessing, Guidance, and Future Direction

The series concludes with a focus on integration and forward movement. Participants will receive blessings, guidance, and practical support from their ancestral allies while clarifying the next steps of their unfolding journey and establishing practices for ongoing relationship.

Series info

Throughout the series, we emphasize sovereignty, consent, pacing, discernment, and relationship.

This work is not about recreating the past or returning to an idealized vision of ancestral life. It is about cultivating living relationships with our ancestors that help us navigate the challenges of the present, embody our gifts more fully, deepen our connection to the living Earth, and participate more consciously in the future that is emerging.

Here are the details to “Ancestral Healing with the River of Blood; Healing and Redeeming Ancestral Wounds and Inter-Generational Curses." with Orion Foxwood.

Most workshops on the Ancestors speak of their power, how to call on their help and how to honor them. Few speak about how to heal, resolve their wounds living inside us, or remove curses that came through them into our blood. Yet, many of the chronic problems that visit us, got rooted in the ancestral past and transmitted through the blood not by intent, but by heritage for we arrive on earth from their stream. As inheritors of their power, we are also inheritors of their pain too and it can- and indeed should be healed for them, us, our children and their children into the great future.

The old Witches and Faery Seers know this as “the River of Blood”. Join with Orion as he shares rare teachings and often guarded wisdom including: the bank of sorrow, the bank of song and the waters of redemption and their power and the concept of “clearing virtue”; the golden comb of resolution; the sacred implications of the underworld as the under-current and underbelly of life and the realm of Ancestors (human and other); Assessing a condition as an ancestral wound, not a crossed condition; the call of compassion; and Haunted, Sorrowful, Redeemed, Blessed, and Exalted Ancestors; and direct encounter with the river and its healing power today.

Orion Foxwood is a traditional witch, a conjure-man and a faery seer. He is the author of :

He has contributed "Queer-fire Witchery: the Rainbow-flame That Melts the Soul-cage the Emerging Fluidity of Consciousness" to the anthology "Queer Magic; Power Beyond Boundaries"
