Ancient Wisdom

An Ancient Wisdom Gathering of Breath & Dance

Thursday 5 November 2026 | 6:30–8:30 pm

Luggate Memorial Hall

Somewhere inside you is a rhythm older than any song you know.

It was there when the first fires were lit. When people gathered under open skies and moved their feet to the beat of a hollow log. When breath was prayer, and dance was how the whole village said thank you to being alive.

That rhythm was never written down. It didn't need to be. It travelled the only way something truly precious can: from body to body. Grandmother to mother. Mother to child. Heartbeat to heartbeat, across a thousand generations, all the way to you.

You've never lost it. Not once.

It's there when your foot taps without asking. When a drum makes your chest hum. When you sigh deeply after a long day and something in you softens. That's the old knowing, still working quietly in the background, still trying to bring you home.

It's just hard to hear sometimes.

Life gets loud. Thoughts pile up. The days rush past. And that ancient rhythm sits patiently beneath it all, like a song playing in the next room, waiting for the house to go quiet.

So let's turn the noise down for an evening.

Let the breath slow and deepen. Let the drum find you. Let your body remember what it has always known, before anyone taught it to sit still. You don't have to learn anything new. You only have to listen.

The wisdom is already yours. It's been travelling a very long way to reach you.

Come breathe. Come dance. Come remember.

Nadia Havlena,

Nadia works at the intersection of science and transformation, teaching functional breathing for better health and performance and facilitating deep inner work for clarity, purpose and lasting change.

With family in both New Zealand and Europe, she splits her life between the two and teaches on both sides of the world, in person and online.

Nadia has trained with Buteyko Clinic International, Oxygen Advantage, Soma Breath and the Institute of Quantum Consciousness, and has worked with doctors, entrepreneurs, athletes and people navigating major life transitions. What they share is a search for something deeper than surface-level solutions.

Her approach is grounded, science-based and practical, but it also goes deep. Nadia believes real change happens when you address the whole person: body, mind and the patterns beneath the surface.

Away from clients, she can usually be found in the mountains, the place that restores her balance, brings clarity about what matters and recharges her for the work ahead.
