    Event description

Get ready for a musical journey through the heart of life's transitions as the Andy Golledge Band hits the road for their Young, Dumb & Wild Album Tour 2024, supported by Mika James for this Sound Doctor gig.

An Andy Golledge show is both exhilarating and unpredictable. When Andy performs, people take notice. He's an artist who knows how to write a killer song and how to knock an audience off their feet. If you were one of those who caught him at Aireys Inlet Music Festival last year you will certainly agree!

Now he's heading around the country with his band (consisting of some of the most respected musicians in the alt country/Americana scene in Australia) to introduce fans and newcomers to his latest tunes. Their shows can take you from tender to tears, to rollicking and dancing wildly. This will be one alt-country rocking good time!

“Andy Golledge has carved out a niche as Sydney's king of alt-country, and it only takes half an hour with the man and his band to see exactly why that is. Golledge's music is boozy, rowdy and rocking, but simultaneously heartfelt and personal. Beyond the quasi-ironic yeehaw agenda, that's really what country music is all about." - Music Feeds

Support on the night will be from Mika James, who is leaping out from the behind the drumkit of Melbourne punk outfit The Vovos to unleash a spirited solo outing. Singing, writing and performing songs that invite the listener into a world of personal poetry and intimate portraits, Mikes weaves melodious tunes sharpened with an edge of life experience that swerve from cinematic country to punk-infused blues.
