Time: 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Join us for a special presentation by Professor Ann Forsyth followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.

In this session, specially designed for researchers in urban planning, Professor Ann Forsyth will discuss the kinds of issues raised by the recent increase in numbers and types of journals. Publisher consolidation, open access, mega-journals, predatory publishing, and other innovations have changed the scholarly information landscape. From the proliferation of online journals and publishing outlets to the challenges of peer review; Professor Forsyth reflects on what the changed landscape means for scholars and readers of urban research.
