Event description

An intriguing topic for an energised yoga and meditation workshop to be held in the beautiful YWCA hall, Whangarei. 10 a.m. - 12.45 p.m.

Also available on Zoom, if requested.

Following on from our first workshop together for this year in June and July, Laksmi from Moonlight Healing in Hokitika is up to co-facilitate this workshop. A highly experienced yoga teacher, healer, and home-based producer of amazing hydrosols and other remedies using herbs from her garden, we will be fortunate to have Laksmi here again to share her energy and wealth of expertise.

We will also run this workshop at Moonlight Healing, 90 Hall St, Hokitika the following week on Saturday September 30.

"Antar means 'inner', Mouna means 'silence' - this inner silence cannot arise while there is a continual stream of disturbing thoughts and emotions. All this inner noise of thoughts and emotions has to be removed before one can truly experience the soundless sound of inner silence.” —Swami Satyananda Saraswati.

"Antar mouna enables us to exhaust these unwanted thoughts; it provides a means to purge the mind. Once these mental tensions start to be released, we can experience corresponding surges of energy and inspiration and life starts to take on a new dimension." Rocklyn Ashram,Victoria, Australia https://www.yogavic.org.au/ant...

No previous experience necessary. Bring yoga mat/s, cushion/s, blanket and water bottle. This workshop will be a beautiful experience for beginners to advanced.

As some asana (postures and exercises) are the initial practice to internalise, build energy and releases, which we will be practising at around 10.45 (with chakra - psychic energy centre vortex - awareness), please either have breakfast at 7 or make sure that it is just a light one if you have it later than that.Pranayama (specialised breathing techniques) that help with clearing and focusing, will follow. The final part of the session will be the most internalised and personally enlightening, as we culminate with the practice of the Antar Mouna meditation technique.

A handout to refer to later is provided.

Note that the break at the end of this morning workshop is for a shared vegetarian lunch at 12.45. This break time is always a great socialising time. Even if only coming for the morning or the afternoon workshops rather than for both, you are most welcome to join us for lunch. For those who are staying for the afternoon as well as the morning, please bring something to share, if you can.

Investment: $60 (for one workshop) in advance up until 20 September (through Humanitix OR directly through Shraddha Yoga and Meditation internet banking by contacting Radhe for the details) or $75 thereafter. If space remains, cash may be paid on the day.

The afternoon workshop runs from 1.15 until 4 pm. Clearing the Petals of the Chakras: Crystal Aura Healing. If you do both workshops the investment is $115 up until 20 Sep/$130 thereafter.

Repeat of this event is with a discount of 50% on the full price ($37.50).

The amazing Laksmi from Moonlight Healing is co-facilitating this and is the primary facilitator of the wonderful workshop in the afternoon - Clearing the Petals of the Chakras: Crystal Aura Healing. Laksmi is an incredible healer and yoga teacher, with an established yoga and healing centre in Hokitika. People travel from afar to receive treatments from Laksmi. Her skills also include manufacture - to her own specific formulas - of health products such as oils, balms, creams, sprays and hydrosols from homegrown herbs.

Radhe, is a registered Level 4 teacher with Yoga NZ. Here is her bio from there:
I teach regular weekly yoga classes in the Whangarei district, also running workshops and retreats. Each year, I also travel to Hokitika several times to offer yoga workshops there, based at Moonlight Healing. I expect to be broadening the number of regions of NZ that I offer teachings in over the next few years. A 200-hour teacher training course is now planned to be commenced in the near future. The scope of what I offer covers a range of yoga techniques, from cleansing practices through to the more esoteric, including asana, pranayama, yoga nidra and meditation practices largely based on the teachings of Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati. I welcome enquiries and invitations to teach. As I made some free (homemade) videos on various practices for my students to use during lockdown, you are most welcome to access these on https://www.facebook.com/shraddhayogaandmeditation
