A Gathering For Change

Event description

Come along to a gathering for change.

The Racism Not Welcome campaign has been successful in bringing the issue of racism to the fore but this is just the initial conversation, the spark, now we must continue these conversations in a more in depth way. With conversations that lead to action.

This gathering is an opportunity for civil society, the people, to belong to a community in action against racism.

At this first gathering, we will engage in respectful conversations about our stories, frustrations, aspirations and hopes for the future.

We will start the day with a yarn circle, led by the heart, followed by facilitated discussions which will be turned into future actions and collaborations by the end of the day.

This is a welcoming and safe space for everyone.

For more information on the Racism Not Welcome Campaign and to find out what you can do in your local area, visit the website here: https://www.racismnotwelcome.com/

Child care is available during this event. If you are interested, please register to let us know how many kids, age/s, and any special needs. Child minding will take place on the same site as event (in the hall).

In line with Government regulations, we ask that attendees wear a face mask, and those 16+ be fully vaccinated with an approved COVID-19 vaccine, or have a medical exemption. We thank you for your understanding and for following COVID-safe measures.

In solidarity,
