Presented by Pirooz Jafari, founder of Track C Consulting, this Anti-Racism Training session is designed to deepen participants' comprehension of racism and its repercussions on both individuals and communities. Employing interactive discussions, case studies, and self-reflection exercises, the session encourages individuals to draw upon their personal values and experiences to grasp the complexities of racism and to proactively combat it. By challenging preconceived notions, addressing unconscious biases, and fostering strategies for intervention, the training covers a spectrum of topics including the historical and contemporary contexts of race, legal frameworks, distinguishing between being "not racist" and being "anti-racist", and recognizing the cumulative impact of discriminatory attitudes. Additionally, participants explore the dynamics of stereotyping, bias formation, and the importance of allyship and advocacy in confronting racism.
