Event description

"Many people were appalled by the murder of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man under police custody. This was not the first time we've heard about such incidents but with the advent of social media and smart phones, it's difficult to bury our heads in the sand. It's easy for those of us in Australia to feel smug believing that this is an American issue. In Australia there has been 432 Aboriginal deaths in custody since the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths in Custody in 1991.
Race has always been a sensitive topic for many white people and many being more offended by being called racist than being offended by racism itself.
We are at a pivotal turning point in our history where humanity is called to do some heavy lifting to shift us into higher consciousness. That means we have to have a spiritual practice that is robust enough to face those challenging topics. We cannot spiritual bypass this stage of the journey on our path to wholeness.

In this masterclass, I invite you to explore whether the spiritual and mental health practices you now engage in offers you the fortitude to go to these difficult and challenging places.
I will demonstrate how bias and racism shows up in your practice and equip you with tools of anti-racism for the spiritual warrior."

About me:
"I embarked on my own spiritual journey over 30 years ago learning meditation with the FWBO (Friends of the Western Buddhist Organisation). I've been practicing yoga for 27 years and have been a member of a spiritual community for over 10 years.
In these spaces I questioned the lack of diverse bodies and voices.
After 35 years in the fashion industry I retrained as a psychotherapist, energy healer and mindfulness coach.
I now run inclusive workshops for all women as well as workshops specifically for Black Women to explore the impact of living under the system of White Supremacy.
I also run a private practice where I support a diversity of women in their journey to mental health."
