NEW ORANGE, formerly known as SNOW DANCE CORP. returns for their fourth show at East Village Basement, "Wood Demon" Anton Chekhov's failed play, in a new version by Scout Backus

Felicia Lobo (Director) is a Brooklyn-based director, performer, and educator. Her recent directing work includes Snow Dance at East Village Basement, GAS at Theatre Row, & Pop Punk High at Le Poisson Rouge. She has developed new work with playwrights at Dramatists Guild Foundation, Pipeline Theatre, The Brick, Judson Church and The Flea. Outside of the theatre, she fronts the Brooklyn punk band QWAM. Felicia holds a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch (Atlantic Acting School) and a Master's in Educational Theatre from CCNY. www.felicialobo.com

Charli Einhorn (AD/SM) is an NYC-based writer/director/stage manager who is just jazzed to be working with New Orange again! They are a 2024 graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Recent productions include Snow Dance at East Village Basement, GAS and Crumbs from the Table of Joy at Theatre Row, and The Gett at Rattlestick Theater. They’ve also worked on a number of student productions, including as a writer on mini-series Dissonance. 

 Riley Scott* (Michael) s a Manhattan-based actor and producer with a BFA from Shenandoah Conservatory. Selected credits include producing and acting in Snow Dance, Gruesome Playground Injuries and Disco Pigs at East Village Basementwith acting roles in ear for eye at Royal Court Theatre, An Attempt to Heal in the Contemporary World at New York Fringe, Romeo & Juliet at Pushkin Hall, and the workshop production of Henry Sussman's Soiree at Walter Benjamin's. Riley is a co-founder and artistic director of New Orange, formerly Snow Dance Corp. @rileyscott.nyc

Rutger Scott (Waffle) is a multi-faceted actor/singer/director based in Manhattan. He has a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts (Class of ‘22) and studied at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Recent work includes the role of Dean in the sci-if series pilot for HUMANIZED. Rutger is a co-founder and managing director of New Orange, formerly Snow Dance Corp. @rutgerscott 

Scout Backus* (Van) is a playwright and actor based in Manhattan. recent theatre credits include: snow dance (New Orange Theatre/East Village Basement), To Kill a Mockingbird (National Tour), GAS (Theatre Row), Lemuria (Ensemble Studio Theatre/New York Classical Theatre), Legacy (Flint Rep) and To Kill a Mockingbird (Broadway). recent Film/TV: Doug Liman’s The Instigators, season two of Pretty Little Liars, and a new film by TJ Ellidgerecent written work includes: snow dance (produced by New Orange Theatre) the magdalenes (O'Neill Center Finalist), a soft machine(O'Neill Center Semi Finalist), Stumpwater (O'Neill Center Semi Finalist) and Rental.  training: Brad Fleischer and Adult Film+Theatre.

Jeffrey Robb (IJ) is a Brooklyn based actor/writer. He received his BA in Theatre from Muhlenberg College, where he concentrated in Acting and Performance Studies. Recent credits include Brilliant Traces at the Chain Theatre and Hook & Eye’s The Chamber at Vassar College’s Powerhouse Theater. He studies regularly with Brad Fleischer. While not onstage, he runs Dungeons & Dragons for both kids and adults as a professional Dungeon Master.

Zachary Grant* (Alex) Some theater credits include Can't Run Can't Dance (NJ Rep) Snow Dance (East Village Basement), Punk Rock (Odyssey Theatre), Oppenheimer (Rogue Machine), Little Theatre (Rogue Machine), Hostage (Skylight Theatre), Smart Love (Pacific Resident Theatre), and Sad, First (Hudson Guild Theatre). Film Credits: Being Charlie (Dir. Rob Reiner), Love Virtually (Dir. L. E Staiman), The Hedonist (Dir. Nick Funess), Young Blondes, Stalked and Murdered (Dir. Nick Funess), Volition (Dir. Emily James* (Sonia) is thrilled to be doing her second show with New Orange Theatre! Other stage credits include: Heroes of the Fourth Turning (Rogue Machine), Stage Kiss (Geffen Playhouse), Mr. Wolf (South Coast Repertory), The Sisters Rosensweig (South Coast Repertory), Smoke (Rogue Machine), Antigone (A Noise Within), Colony Collapse (Boston Court), Husbands and Wives (Ensemble Theatre Company), We are Not These Hands (Rogue Machine), Flora and Ulysses (South Coast Repertory). Ariana Afradi (Alana) is an actor, playwright, and producer from Los Angeles where she is a member of The Road Theatre Company and a producing member of Collaborative Artists Bloc. She is thrilled to be joining New Orange for the first time at her one year mark since moving to New York! Ariana recently made her Off-Broadway debut in Duke & Roya at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. Film: Mary, Pieces. Training: BFA in Acting from the University of Southern California, Brad Fleischer and Adult Film + Theatre.

Caylie Filipa (Lennie) is an actor and playwright based in Brooklyn, New York. Previous credits include: These Are The Rules (actor/plawright, Brooklyn Art Haus), Queen Lear (Langworthy Theatre), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Norton Theatre), You Can’t Take it With You (Dir. Scott Ogle). Recent film/TV credits: Law & Order (NBC), The Affair (showtime), Book Club (Magnolia Pictures), and NiGHTs (Dir. John Schwer). 

Johnny Diaz (Julia) is an actor entrepreneur who ventured to New York City eight years ago and never left. He’s been training for the last four years with teachers that includes Brad Fleischer and Kyle Donnelley. His recent work includes SEANA. He is very excited for his Off-Off broadway debut that coincides with the launch of his underwear company NUEDS @nuedsunderwear

Jeffrey Vincent Thompson (Producer) is an accomplished actor (among many other things) with theatre credits in NYC and the Boston Area. His screen work includes recurring television roles (The Chair Company, HBO) and principal work in several features (Spenser Confidential, Patriots Day). This is his first collaboration with New Orange.
