Plop Stories is an interactive fiction platform for Gen Z. Plop is at the cusp of entertainment and gaming, serving the next generation of smartphone users. Plop Stories is the brainchild of Anushka Shetty who is trying to carve a new entertainment category of digital storytelling. What inspired Shetty to explore storytelling was people spending a lot of time on social media and texting apps. Plop started in early 2018 along with co-founder Vineet Shetty. Founded by Anushka Shetty and her friend Vineet Shetty, Plopnow is a global interactive fiction entertainment platform. It aims to ‘edutain’ millennials and Gen Z in a format they understand: immersive, bite-sized fiction.

SPEAKER BIO
A chartered accountant by profession, Anushka Shetty was a voracious reader until academia and life took over. An alum of IIM-Bangalore, she worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers for almost five years and became stuck in the corporate rat race. A realisation that she hadn’t read a single non-work or study-related book for years, and instead had spent any spare time on her smartphone. So she and friend Vineet Shetty came up with the idea of reading literature in bite-sized pieces like text and social. The epiphany changed the course of her life and led her on the path to entrepreneurship and founding Plopnow, a global interactive fiction entertainment platform.
