ANZACPE Conference 2026 Supervision in the Wilderness
Description
CPE Supervision in the Wilderness! Both figuratively and literally as we venture out of Hobart.
Our keynote speaker is coming to us from the United States of America. We have David Fleenor coming to Tasmania to help us explore our conference theme "Supervision in the Wilderness".
What’s it like supervising in the unknown spaces and the wild spaces? What’s it like when there isn’t necessarily familiar terrain and google maps? What do we bring to the survive in the wild spaces of supervision?
We’ll explore the different environments that we supervise in and the times when they get wild.
We’ll explore the wild place that CPE is compared to other forms of Chaplaincy education – Where does CPE fit in the realms of professional Chaplaincy education and training and credentialling?
What about ANZACPE as a wild space of difference associations that each have their own ecosystems and environments?
As part of our reciprocity agreement with the ACPE, we'll get to discuss what that could look like in Australia and New Zealand and we'll explore the wild spaces of CPE.
We are planning to hold the Pre-Conference review committees, the board meeting and the Post Conference Education in Supervision at the RACV Hotel in Central Hobart.
We will meet together at RACV early Sunday afternoon to welcome you to the conference.
From there we're going to journey together on a coach out of the city to our conference venue (or if you're hiring a car/ driving - we'll give you instructions on that Sunday!)
Yes, that means there will be some uncertainty about what lies ahead - but that's just life in the wilderness isn't it!
We're planning a fabulous conference and I'm sure you're going to be encouraged and strengthened for the work ahead!
