Celebrate 60 Years of ANZASW: Reflecting on Our Legacy, Reimagining Our Future 
Join us for a momentous occasion as we commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers (ANZASW). This milestone event, set to take place on October 23-24, 2024, at the Holiday Inn Auckland Airport, promises to be a profound celebration of our rich history and as we look towards the future for social work and ANZASW.


Embrace the Wisdom of Our Whakataukī 
Our theme, “Kia whakatōmuri te haere whakamua. I walk backwards into the future with my eyes fixed on my past,” encapsulates the essence of this celebration. It speaks to the interconnectedness of our past, present, and future, reminding us that our journey forward is deeply rooted in the legacy of the past 60 years. This whakataukī invites us to reflect on our achievements, honor the contributions of those who came before us, and envision a future where social justice, human rights, and dignity continue to guide our path.

Ticket Information 

• Early Bird Tickets: 150 tickets available at NZ$375 each (does not include Celebration Dinner)

• Full Price Tickets: Available at NZ$450 each (does not include Celebration Dinner)

• Students Limited tickets at NZ$210 each (does not include Celebration Dinner)

• Celebration Dinner: A special dinner will be held at the end of Day 1. Ticket costs are $130 each and include a buffet dinner, a welcome drink and entertainment.

Ticket prices include catering for both days. Most dietary requirements can be catered to, so please indicate your needs when registering. Additionally, please specify which caucus session you intend to join. This year, we will have caucus sessions for: 

• Tangata o te whenua 
• Tangata o te Moana 
• Tangata Tiriti 
• Rainbow/Takatāpui 
• New social workers
