Aotearoa Homelessness Summit

About this event 
Aotearoa Homeless Summit is about Championing Best Practice, Celebrating Contributions, and Collective Advocacy to Reduce and Prevent Homelessness in Aotearoa. 

Who should attend 

1. Those working in roles addressing homelessness and housing stress in community groups, local government, hapū & iwi, academics, students, faith groups, and social service organisations. 
2. Those supporting homelessness services through funding, governance, commissioning, research, policy, and other related roles. 
3. Those with lived experience navigating homelessness and its related services. 
4. Those in the wider community interested in learning about initiatives and supporting services connected to homelessness. 

What this event covers 

The one-day summit on Thursday will highlight best practise across the homelessness continuum including focus group sessions on specialised topics covering housing, health, mental health, reintegration, employment, assertive outreach, data and monitoring, youth homelessness, migrant exploitation and more. 
 
Other Opt-in events include: 

• Friday 7 March – Bus tour to developments here in Tauranga and Western Bay of Plenty 

• Wednesday 5 March – Te Kāuru - Local Government Homelessness Community of Practise Evening Session and Network Dinner 

• Rangatahi Unconference session on the “Future They Want”
