About this event
Aotearoa Homelessness Summit is about championing best practice, celebrating community contributions, and collective advocacy to reduce and prevent homelessness in Aotearoa.
Who should attend
- Those working in roles addressing homelessness and housing stress in community groups, local government, hapū & iwi, academics, students, faith groups, and social service organisations.
- Those supporting homelessness services through funding, governance, commissioning, research, policy, and other related roles.
- Those with lived experience navigating homelessness and its related services.
- Those in the wider community interested in learning about initiatives and supporting services connected to homelessness.
What this event covers
The Summit's theme is around drawing from local insights, local collaborations, and local leadership to drive narrative change and systems change in the reduction and prevention of homelessness in Aotearoa. The event will also highlight research and best practise across the homelessness continuum including priority groups and focus group topics covering housing, health, mental health, reintegration, employment, assertive outreach, data and monitoring, youth homelessness, migrant exploitation and more. Detailed programme will be released in January.
