Description

Join Asia Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) and the internationally renowned scholar Professor Betty Leask for a highly practical professional learning series on Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC) or Internationalisation at home (IaH).

Across two (1.5hrs each) synchronous, interactive online sessions, participants will explore the principles and processes of internationalising the formal, informal and co-curriculum, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region. The programme will connect Prof. Leask’s influential research and frameworks with regional perspectives, practical examples from a variety of guest presenters and participants’ own institutional contexts.

Participants will:

• Examine different rationales, goals and approaches to IoC
• Explore what inclusive and context-responsive internationalisation looks like
• Identify the people, resources and institutional conditions that enable change
• Consider connections between the formal curriculum and student co-curricular experiences
• Develop practical ideas for advancing IoC within their own institution.
