Appreciative Inquiry Workshop: strength-based approach to community engagement
Event description
Appreciative Inquiry Workshop: a strength-based approach to community engagement
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is a narrative-rich and story-based approach to help teams, communities or organisations, come together for a shared vision. By sharing positive stories and experiences, this methodology helps deepen our understanding of the beliefs, elements, partnerships and systems needed for those stories to happen. AI has the ability to create a common ideal future by building from different perspectives and experiences.
The workshop will be conducted by Mitra Gusheh, Executive Manager, Social Impact - Centre for Social Justice and Inclusion UTS.
Topics discussed in this workshop include:
- An Introduction to AI methodology
- Look into the 5 principles of AI
- Explore the steps and the process of AI
- Positive imaginary concept and its power
- AI in practice: experiencing the methodology
- How to use AI for creating strong partnerships and community engagement
