Possum Picnic at The Bee Hub
Event description
Enjoy a twilight picnic tea* at The Bee Hub, in the beautiful Wirraparinga-Brownhill Creek valley.
As night falls, the wonderful Wildlife Spotter Josh Stephenson will lead a spotlight safari along the creek. Josh will help you find possums (ringtail and brushtail) and other wildlife in the trees, telling us about their secret lives along the way. He'll also answer all your questions about possums, including what to do if you have pesky possums in your roof!
Then... put on your citizen scientist hat and do some exploring of your own (we'll give you a Treasure Hunt map and tips for documenting your wildlife discoveries) before heading back to The Bee Hub for dessert.
*Your twilight picnic box will contain: sourdough bread from Hearth Breads bakery; fresh salad; cheeses by Woodside Cheese Wrights; butter; Bee Hub honey and more. Let us know if you have special dietary needs.
This event is generously supported by the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
All profit from the Possum Picnic will help people care for nature through community projects and bushcare at The Bee Hub.
