April Peer Support Group Meeting for those Living with Overweight & Obesity
Event description
Looking for a supportive community where you truly belong?
Living with overweight or obesity can sometimes feel isolating, but you don’t have to go through it alone. Our peer support group is a welcoming space designed for people who understand the challenges and want to share encouragement, support, and connection.
What we offer:
We meet once a month to share experiences, celebrate wins—big or small—and support each other in a safe, judgment-free environment. This is a space where you can be yourself and connect with others who get it.
What you’ll find here:
✔ A warm, understanding community
✔ Meaningful connections and shared experiences
✔ A space to talk openly about what matters to you
✔ Encouragement, empathy, and support
What you won’t find:
✘ Weight loss programs or unsolicited advice
✘ Sales pitches or judgment
✘ Pressure or unrealistic expectations
This isn’t just a group—it’s a growing community built on respect, kindness, and support. Come along, share your journey, and be part of something meaningful.
Interested in joining?
This group is run by individuals who are passionate about support and connection. Health Consumers' Council and The WELL Collaborative provide technical and advertising support, but the group itself is completely community-led.
For more information, reach out to info@thewellcollaborative.org.au, and your enquiry will be passed along to the group facilitators.
